Rev. Dr. Bridgette Sullenger is an ordained Minister and licensed Protestant Chaplain. After receiving her Master’s Degree in pastoral counseling from Ursuline College in Ohio, she went on to complete all the coursework for her Master’s in Divinity. During this time, she also obtained her Doctorate in Ministry (specializing in relational evangelism as related to interpersonal relations and theological ideology) from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio.
Rev. Dr. Sullenger is noted for her compassionate and engaging speaking style. She was the 2012 recipient of the Distinguished Faculty Award chosen from over 400 faculty members at the University of Phoenix, San Diego. She recently collaborated on a manuscript with several colleagues on the effects of pastoral counseling support for those with terminal diagnoses and spiritual crisis. Rev. Dr. Sullenger is a Certified Thanatologist (one who specializes in death, dying and bereavement) having passed the licensing examination through the Association of Death Education and Counseling.
She is called to serve and care for people where they are on their spiritual journey. She believes in a holistic approach to life; that all components of life and health are interrelated. During her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her children (when they are home on school breaks) and walking Ruby, a mini goldendoodle and Jade, a labradoodle as Noel kitty watches from the window. Her hobbies include gardening, writing fiction, and learning to operate amateur radio.
